The Artist

I was born in 1962, and grew up in a small industrial village called Gemla, in inland southern Sweden. I have been working as an artist for almost 24 years, with art shows in galleries around Sweden. But, this year and in the future, I will also have a lot of exhibitions in USA.

Being a painter with an Impressionist touch, I find the land and seascapes of the southern parts of Sweden very attractive, as well as the deep forests inland around my hometown. Using techniques such as oil and watercolours, I depict moments of what I see and experience, with the emphasis on light and shade.

I want to convey the feeling of joy and excitement I have for my subject. "A sense of humility towards life and nature."
